FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN BIUCAC?
To join BIUCAC you need to meet the following criteria:
An undergraduate LLB law student at a Non-Russell Group University (Non-Masters).
Your Law society has to be on the sign-up page.
A student who has not secured a training contract.
HOW CAN I JOIN IF MY UNIVERSITY IS NOT ON THE SIGN-UP PAGE?
You can only join the competition if your university's law society has registered with us. Ask your Law Society to email firstname.lastname@example.org to express their interest in joining BIUCAC. It is worth noting that you do not need to be a member of your law society to enter the competition.
IS THERE A FEE TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
No, we are a non-profit organisation. There is no cost to enter the competition.
WILL THE COMPETITION BE HELD ONLINE OR IN-PERSON?
Rounds 1-3 will be conducted online. We aim to host the rest of the competition in-person. However, this is contingent on the circumstances surrounding the pandemic and will be in line with Government COVID guidlines.

WHAT ARE MY ODDS OF WINNING A PRIZE?
As you may know, BIUCAC is only open to Non-Russell group students. This evens the playing field between contestants, giving each student a great chance of placing in the competition. We also educate our contestants on commercial awareness, by running educational and informative programs in the run-up to the competition. Making sure all contestants are given the tools they need to succeed.
We find the most successful contestants, are the ones that commit themselves and prepare for the competition well in advance.

WHAT IS A LAW SOCIETY'S ROLE IN BIUCAC?
A law society, participating in BIUCAC will be responsible for:
Promoting the competition within the University, with the aim of gaining more students to sign-up to BIUCAC.
Host the 4th Round of the competition.
We will, of course, help you with your obligations, by providing your society with promotional material, guidelines, incentives, etc.
A member of the BIUCAC team will be assigned to support your society throughout the entire process.
HOW MANY CONTESTANTS DO WE SIGN-UP FOR THE COMPETITION?
Law societies are encouraged to sign-up as many students as possible, this ensures your law school puts their best students through to the final and makes a good impression. Law societies also have the chance to win awards for their contributions to BIUCAC in 2021.
HOW DO WE ORGANISE THE 4TH ROUND?
After signing up to BIUCAC your society will receive a handbook, with details on, how the 4th round will be structured and how it should be organised.
